Join us in thanking God that Elizabeth, the leader of Women Ministries in the Sudanese Covenant Church, was granted a visa to attend Triennial XIII in Washington, D.C. this summer.

One of the highlights of the Triennial experience is the women who come as international guests. Their attendance at Triennial enriches an awareness of God's work around the world for all. Every Triennial attendee has the chance to be introduced to these guests at the International Celebration on Friday afternoon.

Of the 13 other international guests who are hoping to attend, only some come from countries for whom a visa is required. The requirements for gaining a visa have become much more tricky since 9/11, so we are all especially grateful that Elizabeth, a woman of very little means, will be able to travel to Washington later this year.

Each international guest is identified by church leaders in her region as a leader who would mutually benefit the experience at Triennial and is supported by a large church or a conference in the ECC through Raise the Flag. Elizabeth is being sponsored by Oakdale Covenant Church in Chicago, IL.
